It was a slow starter, but wow, what a great movie. It's extremely plot driven, so if you think it's your typical gangster flick, think again. Abel Morales is one of my favorite characters in a long time. Extremely well acted and fantastic character development. I thoroughly enjoyed watching him chase after his "American Dream" that sometime seemed like an American nightmare.
