Review of A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014) by Callumjsouth — 13 Dec 2014
Seth MacFarlane's comedy comes to the big screen! Just not in the way we had hoped (Family Guy). This may explain why it is not overly funny. There are a few laughter filled moments but it just feels like there is too much plot concentration in a production that is just supposed to be silly and enjoyable.
Rather than a million death mechanisms we are only treated to a few preposterous ways to die. This undermines the title and doesn't do the viewer who has paid handsomely justice. We instead endure a misleading, misdirected flick, with some MacFarlane humour as a side order.
