Review of A Mighty Heart (2007) by Winnie L — 06 Apr 2010

This movie tells the story of the American journalist Daniel Pearl that went missing in Pakistan and was later executed by his captors. When Daniel goes missing Mariane sets up a desperate search for her husband involving the FBI and the CIA.

This riveting story is beautifully shot and the best and worst part about the film is when Mariane (Jolie) is notified of her husbands death. She reacts the way a person would normaly act when given that news. I hate watching a movie and the person is supposed to be in severe emotional pain and they can hardly shed a tear. Jolie is amazing in this scene and I couldnt help but to sob aloud right along with her.
