Review of A Mighty Heart (2007) by Supi G — 03 Jun 2011
A decent enough film about the events surrounding Daniel Pearl's kidnap and subsequent execution by terrorists. The confusion and chaos in post 9/11 Pakistan is well potrayed by Winterbottom, but he goes through the motions rather than properly getting deeper into the backstory (which is hastily thrown in).
More juxtapositioning between flashbacks and the kidnapping would've been better, but Jolie gives a taste of her much better performance in the far superior Changeling.
