Some of the details seem superfluous to the narrative. slow and muddle the film.
The lack of subtitles for the Indian people is a big slip up. I can't tell what's going on. its alienating me from the experience instead of making me feel apart of it as if I was in a foreign country and couldn't understand people. we need to know what's going on and for the most part we don't.
Jolie's performance is great, sure. but the film is cut in such a way that it doesn't preclude impeccable scenes.
It's sad and all. but knowing the outcome ruins it.
It's just not a well done film.
