Review of A Mighty Heart (2007) by Karen — 20 Jun 2007

Okay, so it is true that Jolie gives one of her best performances. That is obvious. But step back for a second and look at this film. Stop being easy on it because its a true story. It is simply a messy and dull movie that comes up empty where it shoulife old jerk teers.

It is mostly boring, provides no twist or area of suspense that should be represented by this fascinating story. The emotional depth and life inside the other characters, besides Jolie, (which only she gives to herself, with no help from the director) is non-existant.

The film is really not very good. It is jumbled, confusing, inconclusive, boring, and feels very dull and empty. There is really nothing to the film. I would not see it again.
