The best of the best, my favourite film, Scofield and supporting cast are brilliant. Watch for Orson Welles as Cardinal Woolsey. Fred Zinnemann's screen adaptation of Robert Bolt's famous stage play, comes to life here.
It helps immensely that Scofield beautifully honed the lead role as Thomas More in the English theatre prior to his Acadamy Award winning turn here. "The proofs in the pudding".
