Review of A Man for All Seasons (1966) by Aaron B — 06 Jul 2008
I thought this was going to be a boring movie, but it turned out to be quite engaging, if you like talkly British dramas. The cast was particularly fascinating to watch, especially Robert Shaw in his chaotic portrayal of Henry VIII and Paul Scofield in his understated performance as Sir Thomas More.
The ideas that this movie brings up are intriguing as well, thought-provoking in their straight-forward presentation. It's also a pleasure to see John Hurt in a very early role for him.
