Review of A Man for All Seasons (1966) by Eugene F — 26 Feb 2011
It was a very pleasant surprise to see this timeless classic after I first saw it in my late teen. Age and life experience make one appreciate the body and soul of this film so much more. The story supposed to be simple and two hours went smoothly without a boring moment, the dialogs are so literate and witty and yet well delivered without pretense, the acting was electrifying, especially by Scofield.
The award winning cinema work portraits very well then England, the changing season of politics and life. It is among the top 100 in British Film Institute and will be mine too.
