Review of A Man Called Horse (1970) by Minny W — 28 Dec 2007
An outstanding film for it's time (as it generated 2 sequels which was very uncommon then) Richard Harris is outstanding in the film. Wouldn't call it a pro native american film, but respects them.
The refrain from using subtitles helps put the spectator in Harris' shoes and also doesn't indians language. The ritual scene with the claws in his chest actually shocked me which is a first for a film from that era.
