Review of A Man and a Woman (1966) by Yann F — 14 May 2008
I LOVE Anouk Aimee in this movie! That lady's sex on legs but she's playing this really sweet, caring mother and that makes her SOO charismatic. The chemistry she has with the main actor is amazing and I haven't seen photography as gorgeous as this in months.
I really didn't care for the pacing, though. I'm used to slow-paced foreign movies, but the director had this erroneous idea that I actually gave a damn about half-hour long race scenes. I wanted to see the love story, not the fucking cars.
Other than that, wow. Wow. This is a fucking brilliant piece of art.
