As a fan of the book I didn't know what to expect when I heard about development on this film, then when the cast was confirmed every fear I had disappeared. finally watching it my hopes have been solidified, Imogen Poots for me is the movies screen stealer.
my only problem is that as a film it struggled to escape the books structure leaving it slightly uncinematic making me think "why isn't it a mini series". beautiful story, gracious acting but more suited to the small screen.
