Review of A Little Princess (1995) by Luann A — 21 May 2012
I have been passing thisn one on Netflix for a while (can anyone top Shirley Temple?)...and I'm glad I finally watched it. It was more colorful, intense and fun than I expected. Much better acting and believability. The CG monster was terrible, otherwise I loved it!
I did really miss our Little Princess believing in her father to the point of searching him out...but I must say the emotional scene where they do connect again was worth the wait. I also enjoyed Miss Minchin's charater more in this version. You saw more of her as a real person with a background than I recall in previous versions.
