Review of A Life Less Ordinary (1997) by Kirsty M — 14 Dec 2007
Messy, but fun, this oddball homage to the comedies of the 40's coasts by on the charm of it's two leads, a crazy supporting cast, and Boyle's trademark visual panache. film's biggest problem isthat it has too many great ideas, and doesn't develop any of them properly, leading to an overbaked pudding of a movie:Tasty yet unsatisfying.
still, give Boyle balls for following up Trainspotting with a rom-com.
