Review of A Life Less Ordinary (1997) by Jack T — 10 Apr 2010
This film is definitely not ordinary. Plenty of interesting performances, most notable being Holly Hunter's very off-kilter angel persona. But as the film continues, it takes an overly strange turn.
Cameron Diaz's character never develops into anything worthy of McGregor's sympathy, let along his love, and the whole climax feels overly contrived. The heavenly intervention is a bit of a confused mess, and the ending was just lazy - including the ridiculous montage after.
