Review of A Late Quartet (2012) by Ken H — 05 Jan 2013
A wonderful tale about the delicate dynamics between members of a famous quartet, when the four members are each torn between their individual ambition and the group's conformity. After 25 years of putting the group's values beyond their personal aspirations, the four partners face inevitable collision that confronts them, and their peers, with each member's individual ambition.
These changes force each member to re-evaluate their own motivations and realize that confirming with the group's values compromises their own. Throughout this confrontation, they learn to challenge the convenience of the choices they made in life and find that even at their "late" age, they can still dare to evolve and sacrifice to maintain the whole that's larger than the sum of its parts.
A Late Quartet brings a web of multifaceted personalities that find themselves out of their comfort zone, to explore and observe what is it that truly drives and motivates them. A must see.
