Review of A History of Violence (2005) by Jim O — 23 May 2010
If anyone has happened to see both this and American History X, I found the same problem with this film. I feel that it just simply ends abruptly, but everything leading up to the climax was executed perfectly.
Overall, it's a revenge movie that is buried in suspense, but still achieves the moral it was shooting for: judging people for their actions in the past instead of seeing how they are in the present will only lead to problems down the road.
