Downey Junior was fantastic and tortured, Tatum scared the crap out of me as a somewhat unhinged and dangerous person, and LaBeouf was superb and gave an unexpectedly heartbreaking performance. The story itself is extremely sad and simultaneously a fascinating portrait of a family and community trying to function in NY.
Apparently semi-autobiographical which is extra depressing.
