Review of A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints (2006) by Jonathan C — 28 Jun 2008
All in all, a movie that I wanted to like more than I actually did.
Good performances, especially with Tatum and LaBeouf (nice to see him break out of his hollywood mold a little),.
But it simply did not keep my interest. Some strong scenes, but everything failed to come together and build something significant. When it ended, it didn't so much leave an impression on me. However, it was also one of the most successful films I've seen in terms of keeping convincing intensity in its tensest moments.
Maybe I need to rewatch this one; needless to say, it's worth trying out.
