Review of A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints (2006) by David L — 24 Jan 2009
Excellent movie. I'm surprised to see it was made in 2006. This is merely one more example of why I have seen, or netflixed every RDJunior movie. Walken would have been better than Chazz. The characters are real and lively. They are both dynamic and consistent. There is not one instant in this movie where you think that a person is not acting their part. The vitality and soul of the characters in this movie have not been seen in the theaters in a long time. II wish that the director of Shreck 3 (Shreck babysits his grandkids) could see a decent movie like this.
I always wanted to hear Gerry Rafferty's "Bakers Street" in a movie.
If there were four and a half stars, I would have given it that. All they had to do was bring in Walken or Nicholson, and I would have given it 5.
