Review of A Good Woman (2004) by Radhika N — 03 Jun 2008
I have a hard time believing this is an Oscar Wilde story because it neither seems witty nor very good. Most actors in this film are colorless and boring - especially Johansson. The story made sense and then stopped to make sense when the "good woman" is revealed.
The cinematography at times makes one think of other nice period films but the story lets one down tremendously because it seems so irrelevant and then puerile by the end.
