Die Hard has always been home to over the top action set pieces, but this fifth entry to the franchise is the film where they decided to have them instead of story or characterisation. And though it's not as phoned-in as I was expecting it to be, it is the first Die Hard film that's not good.
The tone is all wrong and the end result is a disappointment.
