Review of A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014) by Stephanie S — 23 Apr 2015
I didn't know what to expect and discovered a most fascinating film, made on the cheap, yet exquisite. Ever seeking the original, I'll be on the lookout for anything from Ana Lily Amirpour in the future.
How odd that a film about a vampire can be so alive. But therein lies its charm, whatever live residing in death, whatever good residing in evil. How strange the balance struck in this film, a hauntingness that lingers.
One for watching again... and perhaps even again.
