Review of A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014) by Jacob W — 23 Apr 2015
A gorgeous horror film that feels new and original. This is probably one of the best vampire films that I've seen in a long time. The film felt new and original. Today there are not any good vampire films that I've seen ever.
But A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night shows that vampire films can be good. The acting is good but I believe that Sheila Vand as the vampire did a great job playing as her character. Her character was creepy and scary.
The film isn't all that scary but there are some scenes that were creepy. The film looks beautiful and some of the shots in the film looked amazing. The story felt like a different take on vampires but the film felt slow at some parts.
There are some scenes in the film that should've been a little quicker because they were dragging. I really liked how the film was shot in black and white it really shows the atmosphere of the film.
One thing that bothered me was the ending I really think there should've been a little bit more. Overall this is a great vampire film but I don't think it's quite for everyone. If you like slow horror films or romance films with horror elements then you'll enjoy this film.
