Review of A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014) by Kirkender — 01 Aug 2020
A film that owes its success to film. Each scene and character are perfectly stolen from other sources, which is not a complaint, it is glorious. The narrative has enough ambiguity to allow your brain to explore the characters.
Each moment has a dreamlike quality that teeters on iconic and embarrassing. The vampire is absolutely wonderful. It's Anne Rice mainlining David Lynch while doing what Tarantino thinks he's capable of.
Mwah.
