While certainly ambitious and at times hauntingly poetic, A Ghost Story is cold, distant and difficult. With such little focus on the human and emotional aspects, the film comes off pretentious and empty.
Perhaps there is a certain grandeur and explorative scope or various themes beyond my understanding, but it shouldn't be such a frustrating and narrow-hearted journey to get there. 6/10.
