Review of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (1966) by Ariel C — 02 Aug 2007
A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum supplies enough of brilliant dialogue and situations to become one of the (if not the) funniest musicals of all time, easily giving the movie "classic" status.
Great onscreen chemistry with arguably Zero Mostel's (Pseudolus) best performance, not to mention BUSTER KEATON!!! Story revolves around a couple of misfit slaves, a absent-minded old man, the on-goings of a Roman brothel, a soldier coming to claim his bride, a virgin; and of course, Hero.
A must see even for people who generally hate musicals. See for yourself!!!
