Funny musical farce has an energetic cast, and gets some big laughs, but man do the songs keep this from really popping. The movie builds, and builds, and builds, and then some lame song pops up. And the songs really aren't that memorable, minus the opening "Comedy Tonight" bit.
Thankfully the cast, and Lester's frantic direction are entertaining, and it's so fast that when the jokes bomb there's another one just around the corner. A fun, little flick.
