Review of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (1966) by Philip O — 12 Jun 2008
To be honest, the only reason I watched this is because it happens to be Buster Keaton's last film (and he talks!), but what I found was a incredibly contrived historically inaccurate setting complemented by Mel Brooks-type humor.
The result is hilarious, but not in an important way. It's purely sugary entertainment.
