Review of A Fish Called Wanda (1988) by Randy P — 05 Oct 2008
Honestly, I can't remember if I saw this in my youth, but either way it was great fun to (re)visit it. Without a doubt the most prim and proper caper movie ever, the angry American vs. stuffy Brit dynamic is hysterical, and Kevin Kline is manic gold.
The Python crew do very good work with material that is a little straighter than their Flying Circus oeuvre. My favorite bit? John Cleese trying to stall for time as Michael Palin tries to run Kevin Kline over with the world's.
...slowest.....steamroller.
