'A Fish Called Wanda' is the 1988 British Comedy/Crime film of the decade and the 80's. Basically the storyline/plot is about a Sexy American diamonds lover Wanda and her boyfriend Otto are in England to plot alongside George and Ken the robbery of a diamond collection. Wanda and Otto want the stolen diamonds for themselves, and inform the police about George not knowing that he has already moved the diamonds to another secret place. Wanda thinks the best way to find out is by getting close to George's lawyer- Archie Leach. The films Tagline is "A tale of murder, lust, greed, revenge, and seafood" which say a lot?.

The Movie has won awards and been on top list and TV polls list like; Kevin Kline received wide acclaim and won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his work, John Cleese and Crichton received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay. Charles Crichton was also nominated for Best Director, and Jamie Lee Curtis received nominations for Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes and BAFTA awards (They are the main people and awards for this film). In 2000, the readers of Total Film magazine voted A Fish Called Wanda the 37th greatest comedy film of all time. In 2004 the same magazine named it the 41st greatest British film of all time. In 2000, the American Film Institute ranked the film 21st on its list of the 100 funniest movies ever made. This film is number 27 on Bravo's "100 Funniest Movies". It is also included in the Reader's Digest list of the "100 Funniest Films" (a list rather than a ranking). A Fish Called Wanda was one of only 24 movies to be named on all three of the American Film Institute, Bravo and Readers Digest "top 100 funniest" lists which is the most greatest 1980â??s (1988) British Comedy/Crime film that I have ever seen that has made me laugh sooo much (I have cried) which is shocking for a British films it's the best of its decade (1980-1990).

The Film is 100% classic funny, hilarious, full of witty jokes and clever/funny stunts & mind-games, terrific turns on humour and is the British Comedy & Crime film ever made (especial in the 80's). The film is a huge influence among British culture and its best humour yet, while being classic among its genre/elements and for a British film to be excellent while being one of the best late 80's film of the year (1988) (decade 1980-1990) and to be the best ever made British comedy/crime film (soo far), really all I can say is it a well crafted funny film that has a brilliant cast, with a huge depth to the world of British movie industry and is a rare film form the British film industry as begging classed as one of the greatest movies ever made. This film is one of my Favourite Comedy/Crime and the best British films ever made, while begging abit out dated, but stands the test of times as a classic.

The Movie was made on a budget of $15 million, while grossing worldwide at the Box Office of $62,493,712 which was a sleep hit for the studio to be glad it passed its budget, also the DVD & VHS sales & rental were mega hits on it release and still is. The Movie was an enormous critical and commercial success and was critical acclaimed by Critics, audience, Moviegoer's and Fans alike (of the genre and actors). The Movie was distributed by MGM (Love this Movie Company makes brilliant Films, also love there Logo too).

The Film has a superstar cast, with a brilliant line-up by; John Cleese as Archie Leach ( as the cheating, funny nasty judge), Jamie Lee Curtis as Wanda Gershwitz (Sexy, Hot, Clever, funny Character, very talented), Kevin Kline as Otto West (Is the most funniest Character I've ever seen in a movie, Kevin Kline was rightful owned that Oscar-very pleased, very talented), Michael Palin as Ken Pile, Maria Aitken as Wendy and the rest of the superb British cast. The director of the film Charles Crichton is very good at what he did (speaking as only his greatest motion picture film) this is a raunchy, clever & witty Comedy/Crime for its genre/elements and has the perfect stuff to make you laugh so hard.

Overall the Movie was on bored and a huge funny adult's film that never made me stop laughing or get dull or boring at any time. The film is a classic among its genre/element and of the British Film Industry, it has become a culture influence and has stand the test of time and been a huge career leap for the actor involved, while begging the only greatest movie for Charles Crichton it's out of this world funny film. The movie is a different MUST-SEE for teenagers, adults, old people and Fans of the genre/element and fans of the actors, the film is a classic Comedy/Crime film with a funny/great Plot/Storyline and have some great background music in the film. The Movie ending (or all the way through) the film is classic funny stuff and a great twist out the ending to see which of the four are goanna get on the plane and be rich, 100% classic film that is not to be missed. Lv It!!
