Review of A Face in the Crowd (1957) by Cara D — 22 May 2009
When you take time to analyze this movie, you'll find that it is highly effective. The obvious "lesson" is not letting fame go to your head, but more important is what this film says about pop culture's influence on people and the things which a single person can convince millions to do.
At the same time it examines the cross between entertainment and politics and the use of the former to influence the latter. A good movie indeed topped off with great acting all around, but especially by Griffith.
