Waters has already gone mainstream, and there's really no going back, so this feels like forced vulgarity and tastelessness, and is thus a chore to watch rather than a joy, as Waters' 70s films were.
Things are not helped by the cast, who simply are not suited to Waters' material and seem perpetually uncomfortable.
