Review of A Dirty Carnival (2006) by Guy L — 18 May 2008
Not especially a fan of gangster films, but this one has a plot, and characters, that seem to transcend the genre. Its ending is predictable - actually, practically necessary - but the acting and storyline are solid and the main fight scene is stylized and epic, simultaneously beautiful and brutal.
