Review of A Dangerous Method (2011) by Cole M — 29 Mar 2012
Very fascinating movie exploring the sexual nature of human beings through the friendship turned rivalry of Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung.
Keira Knightley delves deeply into the role of Sabrina Spielrein, putting herself and her body through the many physical and mental contortions the character goes through. Viggo and Michael are phenomenal.
It might not be for everyone, but it's Cronenberg's most measured film to date; not pandering or getting too involved in gore (though there's lots of talk of psychoanalysis, dreams, and sexuality so it might not be for everyone).
