Review of A Dangerous Method (2011) by Denny O — 12 Apr 2012
A quiet impressive film if I may boast. The lighting, the costumes, the set, the music score, the actors, all very wonderful. Of course as always Viggo Mortensen was at his best for his friend Cronenberg and Michael Fassbender gave a terrific performance as well.
As for Keira Knightley, typically I think she is a horrible actress, but I really liked her in this and she gave a hell of a performance. The film didn't really show too much about pyscho-analysis which would have made it more intriguing.
Even though it didn't, I still think it made for a very engaging biopic on the life of Carl Jung.
