Review of A Dangerous Method (2011) by Pedro A — 15 May 2012

Well, the trailer and the plot promised a lot... being about Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung and with two such fine actors portraying them... Keira Knightley delivers a good performance as the unbalanced patient with a few sexual hang-ups that are to be explored as part of some treatment theory...

However, the flow of the film dies halfway in, as it doesn't manage to live up to my expectations...

And the sex scenes... well what sex scenes...??? They certainly could have done a lot more with this... taken it further and made it much more interesting... if they had been a bit more bold in the screenplay and performance delivery...

Instead they all chicken out and I am left with a feeling of both Jung and Frued in fact being quite dull persons...
