I should have known really, Cronenberg is Shite, Kiera Knightly is beyond shite. Her acting is so bad I was caught between cringing and laughing. Her character goes from raging nutter to psychiatric student in the space of one scene.
In fact theres lots of jarring parts like this. Her accent does fluctuate from American to German to crap. It never gets to Russian. The only saving grace was I did get to watch her being smacked.
