Review of A Dangerous Method (2011) by Tasmina C — 09 Jan 2013
Even though the subject matter of psychoanalysis didn't interest me that much going into the film, it wasn't really boring to watch. In fact, I would say it was relatively engaging, which should be credited to the fine performances, as you would come to expect from Fassbender and Mortensen; Knightley's is a bit debatable, you can say she overacted the role, but I think she did a more than fair job with it.
The production is admirable: costume design, cinematography, directing, editing, score, et al. Not one of Cronenberg's best, but decent stuff.
