Review of A Dangerous Method (2011) by Jack M — 04 Apr 2012
A Dangerous Method is a good movie, but it is missing something. It could have been possibly too drawn out that made the movie good rather than a classic. Keira Knightly gives a performance that should have garnered an Oscar nomination.
She gives a tortured performance with so many layers. Even through all her screaming/crying, the audience can feel her lost innocence and sadness with a simple stare from her eyes. Michael Fassbender and Viggo Mortenson give great performances too, but Keira Knightly gives her finest performance to date.
The story is really strong and draws you into the competition between the two psychiatrists. However, the story sometimes stalls with too much medical talk. Easily, this movie is one of the best from 2011.
