Review of A Dangerous Method (2011) by Cheyne L — 14 Apr 2012
I get the feeling A Dangerous Method should have been better. Three tremendous actors, one of my favorite directors, psychology's interesting history as its guide, what could go wrong? It's not that it's bad, it's just painfully ordinary.
It doesn't take any of its magnificent parts and dive deeply into what's going on. It felt like a form period piece, drained of both intelligence and passion. It is watchable, perhaps I'm sounding too harsh.
