Review of A Cure for Wellness (2017) by Jeremy B — 13 Jun 2017
Don't go into this movie expecting horror. As Chris Stuckmann has said - it's more up the alley of Shutter Island and The Shining than what people generally expect with horror. The horror element in this movie comes from disturbing images, dark plot twists and looming questions of how far reality is or isn't stretching.
The cinematography is stunning. The acting is flawless. The movie dips after about an hour and loses your interest, but eventually does pick back up. You won't regret watching this if you are up for a dark journey rather than a sturdy scare.
