Review of A Cock and Bull Story (2005) by Ben W — 17 Apr 2008

One of my favourite films. The film does not so much play out the events of the book, rather it follows it in spirit. Just as Tristram Shandy tries to write his autobiography but is too distracted and ends up not getting further than his own birth until volume III, Coogan and Brydon playing caricatures of themselves get so distracted in aspects of film making that they barely get anything on tape.
