Stanley Kubrick's crazed cult classic takes us on a journey through the theatrical, the subversive and the psychological, all in what feels like two films in one.
The first is a carnivalesque study of anarchic 'ultraviolence', shot to the beat of a reappropriated Beethoven. The second is a psychological chiller with as much to say about science as it has to say about society itself. Both are gloriously edited and, as a whole, A Clockwork Orange is a timeless, tumultuous and tantalising watch. Essential cinema with an unforgettable Malcolm McDowell.
