Review of A Christmas Story (1983) by Erin A — 23 Feb 2012
This evergreen classic, based on a hilarious novel by Jean Shepherd, focuses on a little boy (Peter Billingsley) who pines away for a Red Rider BB gun during a 1940's Christmas season. Narrated with patented wit by Shepherd himself, every scene in this comedy exudes mildly warped humor, justifiable nostalgia, and an onslaught of quotable lines.
I watch A Christmas Story every year and I have yet to get sick of it.
