I love George C. Scott as an actor, but I didn't like his Ebenezar Scrooge. He remains aloof, which lessens the overall emotional impact of the story. The supporting cast excels, especially David Warner as Bob Cratchit and Edward Woodward as the Ghost of Christmas Present.
