Review of A Christmas Carol (1938) by Jonathan M — 12 Dec 2009
This version of A Christmas Carol, the first I believe to actually use sound, is a great take on the novel of the same name. Though maybe a few scenes are rather cheesy, it still has its charms. It is certainly a great classic.
The film itself is only a little over an hour, however it manages to get in the full story. Though my favorite film of the Christmas Carol series is a much later version, this one managed to come in a close second.
