Review of A Cat in Paris (2010) by Christopher Llewellyn R — 26 Nov 2012
This is a sweet, affable, and fast-paced (and short, at just over one hour) animated film about a girl, her cat, and her catâ(TM)s cat burgler. The rough hand-drawn animation is a nice contrast to todayâ(TM)s constant digital perfection, and quite beautiful.
The story is simple â" there are good guys and bad guys, and one bad guy whoâ(TM)s really a good guy â" with a happy ending and only cartoonish violence. Itâ(TM)s a lovely childrenâ(TM)s movie, and even if itâ(TM)s nothing too special, Iâ(TM)m happy to have seen it, and recommend it to families (especially families who own cats).
