One of (if they not best) war movies out, the largeness of the film, to cover 3 main aspects, 101st airborne, 82nd airborne, 1st airborne, and the Independant Polish aoirborne and XXX Corps makes this film one of the greats! The kit the actors had was spot on (I should know I am a ww2 re-enactor from Scotland and all we use if original kit, none of that repro crap!) I challenge anyone to find another film which covers as many aspects of a certain WW2 operation dated before the 21st century! The longest day is also good, but the kit as incorrect in many areas!
