Review of A Boy and His Dog (1975) by Senor C — 15 Sep 2006
This was a very pleasant flix to revisit after many years (the original VHS I had rented was cropped & washed to hell) A Boy and His Dog is a good lesson not to judge a movie by it's case: it's not for children (even though it has a heart warming theme about the relationship of said boy & dog there's heavy sex & violence here) and those mature enough to dismiss it because Don Johnson's in it are missing out.
Even though the dog in this can't act (or rather react) worth a damn many times there's just too much good stuff in this (lol like a bonus clip of a flix called Fistful of Rawhide), multiple layers and the last 30 minutes turn truly bizarre in underground Okalahoma.
.plus it has one of the 6 greatest endings of all time.
